ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Claudia

WELCOME
Every Monday evening—rain or shine—Claudia Zuno stands on Archer Avenue in solidarity with neighbors and small businesses, opposing the bike lanes and concrete barriers she believes are hurting 12th Ward commerce. This isn’t a campaign stunt. It’s consistent action rooted in her belief that our community deserves leadership that shows up and fights back.
A second-generation owner of Zuno Photographic, a family business established more than 55 years ago, Claudia has spent over three decades documenting the life of the 12th Ward—from neighborhood celebrations to leaders who have shaped our city, state, and nation. Through her work, she has helped preserve our community’s history while building lasting relationships and community pride.
Her leadership extends beyond her business. Claudia has served with the Mexican Civic Society of Illinois, Chicago’s Mexican-American Women’s Auxiliary, and the National Museum of Mexican Art—organizing cultural initiatives, mentoring young leaders, coordinating events, and raising funds to uplift the Latino community. She believes that when our culture thrives, our people thrive.
As a small business owner, Claudia understands the real challenges facing our ward: making payroll during tough times, navigating inflation, and dealing with policies imposed without meaningful community input. She has seen how infrastructure changes and public safety concerns impact local businesses and families—and she believes City Hall should be a partner, not an obstacle.
Claudia’s priorities are clear:
-
Remove obstructive bike lanes and concrete barriers on Kedzie and Archer that harm local commerce.
-
Strengthen public safety by restoring effective gunshot detection technology and fully supporting law enforcement.
-
Champion small businesses by advocating for a Chamber of Commerce, expanding access to grants and resources, and stopping policies that hurt neighborhood entrepreneurs.
Claudia Zuno is ready to serve the 12th Ward with courage, accountability, and action. Our community doesn’t need another politician who talks—we need a fighter who listens, delivers, and puts our neighborhood first.
